Reasons

  • Instance extensions:

    • VK_KHR_surface - for configuring output surface.
    • VK_KHR_get_physical_device_properties2 - for getting device UUID to share between client compositor and main/native compositor.
  • Device extensions:

    • VK_KHR_swapchain - for displaying output on a display output.
